Sunday Service-February 27, 2022 “Prepare The Way of The Lord”

February 27, 2022March 14, 2022

This Wednesday will be Ash Wednesday—the start of the Lenten season. Having come from a Catholic background, I understand and have gone through the various celebrations, traditions, and ceremonies associated with the time between Ash Wednesday and Easter. As a child, Lent was kind of a letdown because it seemed like it was filled with a lot of restrictions and obligations—can’t eat meat on Fridays, can’t play on certain days because you had to go to church, and can’t enjoy things in life because you are supposed to be living sacrificially. As Christians, Lent has a special meaning for us—a time of preparation for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
