Yesterday, I had a wonderful day. You see, my wife, Pastor Lena, planned and hosted an awesome 60th birthday party for me (my actual birthday will be on Tuesday, February 22nd) at our house. Close family and friends came together to celebrate this special occasion. However, the party felt more like a family reunion—gathering of immediate, extended, and beyond-extended family members—even though there were people there who were not related to me and were from different ethnicities, backgrounds, and upbringings. Throughout the day, people were commenting how great it was to be there and how much they enjoyed the interaction with people, even with those that they have met with for the very first time.
