This We Believe-Part 6
When does life begin? When does life end? Who is the sustainer of life? Who is the foe of life? These questions are important in our beliefs and have an impact on how we think, how we behave, and who we support. We need to not only know what the true answers for ourselves are but also to know where others stand regarding the answers to these questions. Why does this matter? Shouldn’t people be free to believe whatever they want about life? This would probably be ok if people’s decisions about life only affected the ones who made them. More likely, though, our decisions will affect us and those around us. How much more will the impact be of the decisions about life made by leaders who are chosen to lead and represent us?
