What do people put their hope in? Their finances? Their possessions? Their jobs and careers? Their plans and goals? Their relationships? The lottery? Most people think of hope as wishful thinking, as in “I hope something will happen.” However, the Bible defines hope as “confident expectation.” Hope is a belief and conviction that something that hasn’t happened yet will indeed happen. It means to eagerly wait for, look for, or expect something that is unseen.
