This is the day that the Holy Spirit came down on the followers of Jesus, giving them the power and courage to proclaim God&#8217;s truth to all nations. Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He told the disciples about what was going to happen to them as is written in Acts 1:8<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Although this event happened almost 2000 years ago, we need to be reminded of the importance and relevance of the Holy Spirit today. In the same way that the disciples, back then, were impacted by the Holy Spirit, God desires to provide us the same power and courage today to speak the truth to the world around us.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we are celebrating Pentecost Sunday.
