Today is the day that we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. When Jesus approached Jerusalem, the people spread tree branches and items of clothing in Jesus\u2019 path, to welcome who they hoped was to become their new king. God\u2019s people were under oppression from the Roman government at that time and their freedoms were restricted. Sound familiar. The people were excited about Jesus because He did miracles, spoke with authority, and seemed to fulfill prophecies that have been passed through the generations.
