Having come from a Catholic background, I understand and have gone through the various celebrations, traditions, and ceremonies associated with the time between Ash Wednesday and Easter. As a child, Lent was kind of a letdown because it seemed like it was filled with a lot of restrictions and obligations\u2014can\u2019t eat meat on Fridays, can\u2019t play on certain days because you had to go to church, and can\u2019t enjoy things in life because you are supposed to be living sacrificially.
